City of Toronto Photo Contest 2009 …
Prints at Dimensions Framing
Dimensions Framing has accepted some of my artwork to hang up in their gallery. They are located on Broadview one block north of Danforth Avenue on the West side (www.dimensionsframing.com or click on my sidebar on right hand side of my page for more info).
I’ve been using Dimensions Framing for a few years now and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how my they make my pictures look good!! I trust their judgement and my art always come out with cool, funky frames that don’t distract the attention away from the photo. I don’t know how they do it but they do.
So go check out some of my pictures in their gallery and say hi to Wendy, Ellen and their cute little puppies (well puppies they aren’t but they are cute)!
PhotoLife Magazine

Very cool!!! Christmas has come early for me. Just found out that one of my Winter Wonderland pictures was chosen for the Dec./Jan. 2010 issue of PhotoLife Magazine – Canada’s premier photography magazine. You’ll recognise the picture as it’s also the one that I’ve chosen for my website and business cards.
GBLT Photo Competition

Very happy to report that my picture was one of the 25 selected to be represented on a beautiful poster featuring the ‘Rocks of Georgian Bay’. The 2009 poster is to be sold as a fund-raiser to help keep our Eastern and Northern shores of the Bay clean and protected. Very excited about this…this is a HUGE event with lots of awareness and publicity. Not to mention it’s for a great cause!
Along with being available via the Georgian Bay Land Trust (GBLT), the beautiful Unique Rocks of Georgian Bay poster can now be purchased at the following locations:
Mountain Equipment Co-op – 400 King Street West, Toronto
Sojourn – 31 Commerce Park Drive, Barrie
Parry Sound Books – 26 James Street, Parry Sound
Parry Sound Chamber of Commerce – 70 Church Street, Parry Sound
Township of the Archipelago – 9 James Street, Parry Sound
Artistic Dimensions – 256 King Street, Midland
Pioneer Handcraft Furniture – Highway 11, Southbound, Sevren Bridge
Georgian Bay Country – 1 Horseshoe Lake Road, RR#2
If none of these locations is convenient, you can still call 416.440.1519 x3 to order directly from the GBLT. Don’t miss out on this poster – it’s absolutely gorgeous and all proceeds go towards saving our Bay!
Georgian Bay Land Trust Photo Contest 2009
Just received word that one of my pictures entered in the ‘Rocks of Georgian Bay’ contest is a winner!! The GBLT will be printing my picture along with 24 other successful pictures in a poster format and sold to the public to generate funds for this beautiful part of our province.
I’m not sure which picture it is but I’ll find out next week (Nov. 6) as I will be attending the GBLT picture auction and ‘poster reveal’ night at ‘The Faculty Club’ (U of T). I’ll post the winning picture next week!!
Call for Submissions
Looking for art shows to participate in – I’ve already applied for a few more just waiting to hear back from them – so I can line some shows up in the New Year. Ideally I’d like to get my paperwork done before the new baby arrives sometime in January! ‘Cause I know I’ll have my hands full for a few months afterwards.
If you know of a show that need artists and you think I’d make a good fit, please drop me a line and tell me about it. Thanks!!
