Next Up…

Next up on my plate this summer is the Annual Art Show at The Ojibway Club. Located on the beautiful waters of Georgian Bay, The Ojibway Club is holding it’s 13th art show, where a myriad of talented artists (sculptors, painters, photographers etc.) come together to show their work. Although out of the way, this is a highly successful art show as cottagers from in and around the area come out to see the works showcasing their beloved Georgian Bay.

Hours of Operation: August 6th,7th & 8thDaily: 10.00am – 4.00pm

To get there…take the 400 to Pointe au Baril (30 km north of Parry Sound), and either hire a water taxi or let me know you are coming up and I’ll come pick you up. I’ll hopefully be up at the cottage most of the summer 🙂

Ben Navaee Juried Show

This is the picture that got me 2nd place at the Ben Navaee Gallery photo competition!!

I’m stoked! This was my first juried show so I’m really happy with the results. A BIG thank you to Ben Navaee for holding this competition and allowing all of us the opportunity to present our work!!!

The show runs until Mon. June 8 – I encourage all of you to go down to the gallery to check out all the artists works!

Ben Navaee Gallery

I have submitted four images to the Ben Navaee Gallery (http://bennavaeegallery.com). This is a juried photography show which will run from May 30 – June 08, 2009. The Gallery is located at 1111 Queen Street East (between Pape & Jones) at Caroline. There is ample parking on Queen Street as well as on Caroline Street.

Three of the four pictures I have chosen have a common theme: trees. Trees are magical, stoic and teeming with personality. My photographs show them in their ‘fantastical’ forms as well as ‘whimsical’ forms. The fourth picture has nothing to do with trees except that it is home to where these trees live! I feel strongly about all four of my images and I hope they do well in the competition.

There will be an artist reception on Saturday, May 30 from 3:30 -5 pm. I hope to see you there!!

PS Wish me luck!

Next…

Thank You for visiting ‘Salvation’. I had a great time putting the show together and hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did! I must also post a BIG thank you to my husband David for helping me with the show – definetly wouldn’t have been as successful without your help.

Over the next few weeks I hope to be showing another collection of work at various galleries and will post more information as it becomes available.
